OGNIVO Restaurant

The concept of greening the interior space of the restaurant Ognivo in Saint Petersburg is founded upon the creation of an atmosphere of comfort, wherein each plant becomes an integral part of the décor. Central to this vision are the olive trees, brought from Italy: the youngest of these majestic trees weighs approximately one tonne, whilst the eldest commands an impressive 2.5 tonnes. Their picturesque, sturdy trunks evoke a sense of enduring history, bestowing the interior with a truly distinctive character.

Collaboration of LaRos Studio, Maxim Rymar, Natalia Markova - has harmoniously fused architectural ingenuity with natural elements, thereby crafting an organic unity between form and nature. Our studio was entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the greening of both the interior and exterior realms of the restaurant.

To ensure the vitality of these noble plants, an irrigation system was devised, complemented by the installation of a specialised ‘mist’ humidification system that maintains the essential moisture levels in the air. Moreover, phyto-lighting system has been implemented, allowing the flora to receive the optimal spectrum of light throughout the day, thereby promoting their natural growth and flourishing.

This project transcends mere decoration: it is a living organism in its own right, one that cultivates a unique microclimate and bestows upon restaurant guests the sense of comfort and closeness to the splendour of nature.
